She must be good because she opposed to this Agent Taylor, who is bad. Hanks must think that the reader will appreciate Captain Moxley simply because she is opposed to the bad guy. The Nine are the bad guys simply because Hanks says so. That never happens in Embers of the Empire.

That establishes they’re evil, and then we see them pull a dude’s heart out of his chest and sacrifice him to a lava pit.

So here are some scenes where they terrorize people and force children into slavery. But we do need to know why Malum-Ra and the Thugee cult are bad in The Temple of Doom because not too many Westerners are familiar with Indian culture. We don’t need an explanation for why the Nazis or Soviets are bad in the Indiana Jones movies. The biggest question that I have for this book is, “Who are the Nine and why are they so evil? And why is the word ‘The’ capitalized? That doesn’t give them any real credibility.” If Hanks had used the Nazis then it would work. Taylor works for “The Nine,” a group of bad guys. That, and Sam just ruined her date with Dr. But Jesse was fine and a little shocked to see her sister dripping wet and stressed out. Then Sam must rescue her sister Jesse so they can start their globe-trekking adventure. She uses a little device that zaps people to another dimension, so Taylor hires two dragon-men to fly down and shoot her young pilot friend and make her crash in Central Park. Skip ahead ten years, so the history professor won’t ask questions, and Captain Moxley is in New York City escaping from the Agent’s…agents, because they’re all looking for something called the Hall of Records.

The book picks up after World War Two, with a man named Agent Taylor looking for Captain Samantha Moxley in Normandy, France. That being said, there are certain skills that an adventure writer needs if they want to succeed in this genre. He won’t be the last either, not if I have anything to say about it ( ). Who doesn’t love a good adventure? Who wouldn’t want to travel the world, see its sights, and stop the forces of evil from obtaining mystical artifacts of legend and power? We all love Indiana Jones when he does it, but he’s not the first hero to mix history and fantasy with a dose of high-octane suspense.
